I'm intimidated, but have taken a class at a local quilt shop, and i'm working on a very old unfinished quilt to practice. i'm looking into a new machine to give me more room to maneuver my quilts (a Juki). The pattern i would most like to learn is feathers, I think they look so fluid and graceful. my biggest issue so far has been figuring out the tension so i don't leave big eyelashes on the backside when i'm working on curves!<br /><br />Thanks! I have found using a grid stencil and just making tiny dots with a water soluble pen helps me keep check on the sizes staying the same. The dots are easy to erase with a heavy spritz of water.
